Healthscope, the new private company running Northern Beaches Hospital, says it hopes to slash waiting times for emergency presentations with an “intelligent” emergency department designed to get the patient seen by the right people quicker than ever.

Traffic delays following construction truck crash

Lengthy traffic snarls heading north along the Wakehurst Parkway, between Seaforth and Frenchs Forest, after a road construction truck crashed into a water-filled plastic construction barrier near the intersection with Warringah Rd about 8.30am. Road workers were forced to close off two lanes – one heading north and one south – to reposition the barrier.
