Northern beaches Covid: Drop in active case numbers
There has been a drop in the number of active Covid cases on the northern beaches in the last 24 hours — and no new public venues of concern.

The total number active Covid cases has dropped on northern beaches in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of active cases on the peninsula to 26.
But a new active case was recorded in the Belrose/Davidson postcode area.
And there has been no new public venues of Covid concern added to the list.
The last local venue notification was on Monday with NSW Health advising that a customer who had tested positive for Covid had visited the Coles supermarket at Forestville on Wednesday, August 4, from around 12.25pm-1pm.
In its notice to customers on Monday, Coles at Forestville said a person with Covid had been in the supermarket last Wednesday between 12.25pm and 12.55pm.
Coles said that the store had undergone a “comprehensive deep clean” and advised anyone who was in the supermarket at the same time as the person who had tested positive, to have a Covid test.
The latest NSW Health Data shows that there are still active Covid cases in eight postcode areas on the northern beaches.
Allambie Heights/Beacon Hill/Brookvale area — postcode 2100 — had the highest number of current active cases with six. That was down from 10 on Sunday.
There are no longer any cases at Warriewood.
As well as the 6 cases in Allambie Heights/Beacon Hill/Brookvale, Belrose/Davidson has 5; the 2099 postcode that includes Cromer and Dee Why is at 4; Elanora Heights, Narrabeen and Ingleside (postcode 2101) has dropped to 3; Forestville/Killarney Heights has 3; Collaroy and Manly have 2 each and: Palm Beach has 1.
A man with Covid who was admitted to Northern Beaches Hospital on Saturday night is still critically ill.
The Manly Daily reported on Sunday that the man, in his mid-30s from Belrose, was rushed to the hospital’s Emergency Department by ambulance after his condition suddenly worsened.
He was immediately put on a ventilator and transferred to the Intensive Care Unit.
The drop in active cases son the northern beaches comes as comes as the NSW Government announced on Monday that three elderly people had died from Covid as the state recorded 356 new cases.
The woman, aged in her 90s from northern Sydney, died at Greenwich Hospital on Sunday. She had been in palliative care and is the 29th NSW recorded to die from the virus since the Delta outbreak began on June 16
Of the new cases reported on Monday, at least 64 of the new cases were infectious in the community.
