New AVO for Mosman swim coach Kyle James Henk Daniels accused of sexually assaulting girls

Police have been granted another apprehended violence order against a Sydney swim instructor already accused of sexually abusing nine young girls during lessons at a Mosman pool.
The AVO application against Kyle James Henk Daniels, 20, of Balgowlah, was listed in Manly Local Court on Tuesday.
Police made the application on behalf of a victim.
On April 4, Daniels was hit with four charges of having sexual intercourse with the seven-year-old student at a Mosman pool in late 2018.
Police will allege in court he sexually abused that girl on separate occasions during lessons between November and December.
Daniels was previously granted strict bail over the alleged abuse of eight other students — aged five to 10 — during swimming lessons between June 2018 and March this year.
Through his lawyer during his last court appearance, Daniels denied the original 31 charges.
“He strongly denies that any touching of these young girls was sexual in any way whatsoever,” defence barrister Todd Alexis SC told Manly Local Court on March 20.
The offences Daniels is now accused of include multiple counts of sexual intercourse, intentional sexual touching and alleged indecent assault.
Police first laid charges against Daniels in mid-March after his alleged interactions with two sisters, aged six and eight, came to light.
Daniels is due to reappear at Manly Local Court on May 8.
Investigations are continuing.
