An Instagram model and young mum is back behind bars after failing to show up to court. The court heard her no-show was due to her being “extremely upset” following a traumatic period with a pregnancy.

A former Instagram model and young mum who is fighting to overturn a prison sentence is back behind bars after failing to turn up to court.
Monique Marina Agostino, 25, who grew up and went to school on the northern beaches, was sentenced to an 18-month prison term in December last year for a raft of offences including her involvement in break and enters in 2018.
However, she appealed the severity of her sentence and was released on bail pending the appeal.
Last month, the glamorous young mum was due back in the NSW District Court for her appeal process but failed to show, leading to a warrant being placed for her arrest.
The NSW District Court heard on Monday that Agostino was arrested on Friday and spent the weekend in custody.
Her lawyer provided the court with an excuse for her missing her last court date.
Her lawyer said Agostino had been through a traumatic period with a pregnancy and was extremely upset at the time of her last court date, resulting in her missing the appeal date.
Judge Dina Yehia adjourned her matter until next Monday, September 14 and reinstated the appeal hearing. Agostino will remain in custody at least until that date.
Agostino previously enjoyed a large following on her Instagram page but, in recent times, has taken down most of her profile following ongoing problems with law enforcement.
She also breached her bail on a separate occasion earlier this year and was arrested by police.
Her 18-month prison sentence in December last year related to her involvement in break and enters at four shops in November 2018 and also crimes committed at Blacktown Westfield Shopping Centre in May 2019.
