A servant girl, hospital staff and twin boys who burnt to death in a horrible prank gone wrong are just some of the ghosts who many believe still haunt Sydney today:

1. QUARANTINE STATION, MANLY

One of Sydney’s most haunted places is home to at least 50 spirits, including a small Jewish boy, a hospital matron and a charismatic Chinese fisherman.

2. REDBANK RANGE TUNNEL, PICTON

This 180m of pitch black tunnel was closed following a spate of suicides. One of them, Emily Bollard is believed to still haunt the tunnel.

3. OLD GOVERNMENT HOUSE, PARRAMATTA

This 212 year-old Georgian mansion can lay claim to many ghostly encounters, including sightings of a servant girl called Mary Bligh.

4. STUDLEY PARK HOUSE

This Narellan manor is said to be haunted by a 14-year-old boy, Ray Blackstone who drowned in 1909, and 13-year-old Noel William Gregory, who died three decades later.

5. WAKEHURST PARKWAY

In the dark of night watch out for a girl in a white dress or nightie, who they say appears near Middle Creek Bridge, on this haunted road, that psychic Mary Loughland has named Kelly.

6. GLADSEVILLE MENTAL HOSPITAL

The cries of the tortured patients can still be heard at this abandoned mental asylum, where one security guard reportedly refused to return to work after claiming to see a deformed man with blazing red eyes.

7. ANGLICAN PARISH OF MULGOA

Twin boys who burned to death in a horror prank gone wrong are said to haunt this Anglican church. They say if you drive near the church at night the boys may turn your car headlights off.

8. THE ABBEY, ANNANDALE

Visitors to this 50- room Gothic mansion speak of a mysterious “lady in white” that walks the hallways.

9. PRINCE HENRY HOSPITAL, LITTLE BAY

Gracie’s Ghost, the spirit of Sister Gracie Andrews, has been seen or felt by many and they say when she appears clocks stop.

10. BARTHOLOMEW’S CEMETERY, BLACKTOWN

This cemetery, that contains the grave of famous colonial Australian explorer William Lawson, is said to be the scene of many weird and supernatural incidents, including a shadowy ghost that walks among the graves that was caught on film by a team of ghost hunters in 2015.
