Emergency services working to retrieve body from cliffs on northern beaches

EMERGENCY services are conducting a major operation to retrieve a body from near the Warriewood blowhole.

Police NSW Fire & Rescue and Ambulance personnel are on the northern side of Turimetta Headland, just off Narrabeen Park Pde.

Ambulance and police spokesmen confirmed that the body of a young person had been located about 1pm at the base of the cliff, just off a walking path through Warriewood Park.

Special Operations ambulance officers have been called in to retrieve the body.
