A man charged with drug supply in Sydney's northern beaches has had his name cleared after the charges were dropped in court.
A man falsely accused of supplying a commercial amount of MDMA on Sydney’s northern beaches has seen his charges dropped in court.
Stephen Albert Calci, 28, of Beacon Hill, was arrested in November 2019 and charged with participate in criminal group and supply a prohibited drug (commercial supply).
The charges related to the alleged supply of 170g of the party drug MDMA.
He was refused bail and spent months in prison on remand.
However, soon after pleading not guilty, his charges were dropped in the NSW District Court in August last year.
His younger brother, Nicolas Calci, 22, was also arrested in November 2019 as part of the police investigation.
Nicolas pleaded guilty last year to one count of supply prohibited drugs on an ongoing basis, while a string of other drug charges were dismissed.
He was convicted and sentenced to an intensive correction order for 12 months and was ordered to serve 300 hours of community service work.
