It comes as the political barbs have been flying between the Liberal Mr Abbott and his independent competitor Zali Steggall.
In today’s Manly Daily (Wednesday) Mr Abbott said he faced the toughest election battle of his life against a well-funded, “slick and professional” Steggall campaign.
Polling undertaken by political lobby group GetUp has Ms Steggall ahead 54 to Mr Abbott’s 46.
