A northern beaches teenager has caught the eye of TV talent judge Nicole Scherzinger following her audition on Australia’s Got Talent.
Sienna Osborne, 13, of Allambie, performed an acrobatic, dynamic contemporary dance on stage at Luna Park in May which will be shown on our TV screens on Sunday.
Her mum Skye, 42, said they had met all the judges, but Scherzinger in particular had been very supportive of Sienna and they had a bond.
“Nicole has been so gorgeous with Sienna,” Ms Osborne said.
“She’s been a dancer too so I think that’s why.”
Ms Osborne said her daughter was currently in China on a dance and cultural tour with Newtown High School of Performing Arts and was missing all the promo ads of herself on TV at the moment.
“It’s a little crazy,” she said. “We’re all looking forward to watching the show on Sunday.”
She said her daughter was totally focused on dance, spending most of her waking hours in a studio.
She practices more than 30 hours a week and was a recent winner of Hollywood Bound’s Dancer of the Year.
But Ms Osborne admitted Sienna was nervous about going on the TV show and putting herself out there.
And, she said it was also nerve-racking for her.
“It was terrifying watching her, for me as a mum,” she said.
“I just want her to enjoy this experience. I want her to enjoy every minute of this, it’s her time.”
Mrs Osborne, who also has two boys with her husband Scott, 46, said it was Sienna’s dream to have a career in the dance industry.
Last week 350 members from Hummingong — a collection of choirs based across the northern beaches and north shore — performed on the show winning support from all four judges.
Watch Sienna on Channel 7 on 7pm on Sunday.
