Aussie pop star Samantha Jade has paid a special visit to the northern beaches to surprise some of her biggest young fans.
Jade, who scored a number one on the ARIA charts after becoming the first woman to win X Factor, dropped into The Basement Dance Studio at Cromer this week.
As well as saying hello to her friend, and one of her backup dancers Shannon Riley — who owns the popular dance school — the singer, songwriter and actor also wanted to show the future stars some of the dance moves from her latest music video.
Jade, who won the TV talent competition in 2012 and then released a hit single “What You’ve Done To Me”, has just released her new EP — “Love. Sick Vol 2”.
Ms Riley, a professional dancer and choreographer who opened her Cromer dance studio three years ago, invited Jade friend to meet some of her students.
She choreographed the dancing in the music video for Jade’s new single “Peachy”.
“It was a great chance for the kids to meet Samantha and learn some of the choreography for her new music video,” she said.
“The kids loved it.
“They were so excited when she walked in. They didn't know what to do with themselves.
“But there was screaming, a lot of screaming.”
Jade gave the 30 or so students an intense hour-long dance session before taking time to meet and talk with them and get their photos taken.
Video of the pupils taken during the Cromer visit will be used on Jades’s social media outlets to help promote the new EP and single.
