The development of Wilton into a bustling mini-city on Sydney’s outer edge is a step closer after the State Government rezoned 870ha of land in the Wilton North Precinct today.
The BradCorp owned land forms part of the larger Wilton Growth precinct and is expected to create almost 5600 new homes for almost 15,000 residents.
The land has been rezoned for housing and business development.
It follows the rezoning earlier this year of Walker Corporation’s Wilton South East precinct, which is expected to create 15,000 new homes.
Under the development plan, 385ha of environmentally sensitive land will be conserved around the edge of the precinct.
BradCorp plans to construct an 11ha man-made lake which will be surrounded by retail, entertainment and recreational businesses as well as service industries and education.
A local centre near a proposed primary school, sporting fields, neighbourhood community centre and open space will also form part of the development.
