IT WEIGHS a kilogram and has five meat patties, 14 slices of cheese, three eggs and a triple serve of bacon but can you eat it?
BC Burgers at Camden has launched its third burger competition, to discover who can conquer the mighty 1kg monster, which also includes lettuce, tomato, beetroot and pickles, topped with aioli and barbecue sauce, in the fastest time.
There are bragging rights, a wrestling belt and cold hard cash on the line.
BC Burgers owner Craig Shaw said he was always excited to bring the mouth-watering competition to Camden.
“It's a different competition for everyone to wrap their hands around,” he said.
“It isn’t all about the winning the competition, its about getting people out and talking about BC Burgers.”
Mr Shaw is looking forward to again hosting the afternoon of chomping jaws.
“It’s all about light hearted entertainment for the community,” he said.
“We always attract huge crowds, with everyone coming out for a look at the lettuce flying everywhere.”
Mr Shaws expects more than 20 hopefully hungry contestants to test their mettle in the mammoth contest. The person who eats the burger in the fastest time wins.
The competition will be held on Sunday, July 2, at 4pm with entries to close on June 25.
Cost is $35 to enter, with first, second and third places receiving a cash prize.
