A confirmed case of COVID-19 has forced the temporary closure of a Campbelltown gym after the infected person spent an hour in the venue on the weekend.
Plus Fitness Campbelltown, located on Blaxland Rd, posted a statement on social media that NSW Health had advised the gym to close for a deep clean.
The confirmed case visited the gym between 9am to 10am on Saturday (July 11). All gymgoers who visited the venue at that time are expected to be contacted by NSW Health.
Plus Fitness operates about a dozen gyms in the Macarthur region with all members able to access each venue.
Campbelltown Plus Fitness reopened on Friday morning.

The immediate changes are in place at Campbelltown, Camden, Liverpool and Bowral hospitals and have been made to protect staff and patients.
On Thursday morning, Wests Group Macarthur made the snap decision to close its four venues for at least a week following revelations a second infected person had visited Wests League Club at Leumeah. All 320 employees will be tested for COVID-19.
Anyone who visited the Wests League Club between 8pm Friday July 10 and 2.30am Sunday July 12 has been asked to get tested.
An outbreak of coronavirus continues to threaten the Macarthur region with three new cases in Campbelltown and three new cases in Picton confirmed since Monday.
In the past month, since June 14, there have been four new cases each in Campbelltown and Wollondilly areas.
Campbelltown’s Macarthur Tavern and Picton Hotel have also reported confirmed cases had attended their venue.
Wests Group Macarthur operate four venues across southwest Sydney, including Wests League Club, Gledswood Hills Country Club, Lakeside Golf Club Camden and Wests Tennis Club.
