A kebab shop creeper has been slapped with a criminal conviction for planting an unwanted kiss on a 17-year-old girl.

After a day of drinking, married father Fred Ghosn had popped into Mt Annan Kebab House on May 9 for a greasy meal when a 17-year-old girl entered the store, according to court documents.

The 44-year-old, of Currans Hill, marched across the store, introduced himself as ‘Freddie’ and touched her back as he struck up a conversation.

Unfazed when the girl revealed she was a high school student, Ghosn asked her out for a drink. The girl, feeling uncomfortable, said no.

Court documents state the 44-year-old then collected his order and as he went to leave the shop he planted an unwanted smooch on the teenager’s cheek. He then repeatedly asked the girl to come to his car to swap numbers, before insisting he the walk the girl out because “you’re such a beautiful girl”.

Once the girl reached the refuge of her mum’s car she burst into tears and the incident was reported to police, the documents state.

Ghosn was arrested and said his intent was to “chat her up”, but denied pursuing her once he learnt her age.

The court documents state that during the police interview he said “off the record, she’s above the age of consent anyway”, “I’m a hot blooded male, I’m here for the chase” and “what male wouldn’t ask for her number”.

Ghosn pleaded guilty to assault in Picton Local Court on Tuesday, where he told the magistrate he was drunk and the weekend was a blur.

“I have never done anything like that before,” he said. “I don’t know what got over me.”

He was convicted and placed on a community corrections order for 18 months.
