Work is set to begin shortly on the new home of Campbelltown’s favourite sausage sizzles, with a new Bunnings Warehouse be bigger and better than before.

The $40 million development, to be located on the corner of Blaxland and Farrow roads, will replace the current Campbelltown store at Budgen Place.

The new warehouse will feature an extra 5000sq m of floor space and create 60 new roles.

Bunnings property director Andrew Marks said the warehouse would span in total more than 17,000sq m.

“We have been a part of the Campbelltown community for over 21 years and are looking forward to bringing local residents an even bigger and better store,” he said.

“The new store will be 5000sq m bigger and will feature a new timber trade area, a bigger nursery as well as a wider range of home improvement and outdoor living products.

“All team members from the existing Campbelltown warehouse will transfer to the new store once complete and will employ over 125 team members, including 60 new roles.”

The existing Campbelltown store will close the day before the new store opens.

Construction is expected to begin in coming months with papers recently lodged to Campbelltown Council.

The development was approved by the Sydney Western City Planning Panel in April.
