Meat cleaver used in Queen St armed robbery

TWO men, armed with a meat cleaver and a knife, have robbed a Campbelltown fast food restaurant in the early hours of this morning.

TWO men, armed with a meat cleaver and a knife, have robbed a Campbelltown fast food restaurant in the early hours of this morning.

Campbelltown police have established a crime scene at the Queen St restaurant this morning.

The armed robbery took place about 2.15am.

Police say the men approached the counter of the restaurant, threatened staff and demanded cash.

Staff of the fast food restaurant complied, with the armed men fleeing the restaurant in a stolen vehicle with the stolen money.

The men were described as of Pacific Islander/Maori appearance, about 180cm to 185cm tall, and with their faces covered.

One man was wearing a black hooded jumper, pants and shoes, and a navy-blue cap. The second was wearing a grey T-shirt, boardshorts, black shoes, and a blue cap.
