A man accused of threatening a woman with a knife and striking a second woman in the face at a rural property in Sydney’s southwest has been charged with nine offences.

A man accused of threatening a woman with a knife and striking a second woman in the face at a rural property in Sydney’s southwest has been charged with nine offences.
The 35-year-old man, of Pitt Town, allegedly assaulted two women – one being his ex-partner – at an Oaks Rd, Thirlmere address about 2.30am on Saturday, March 21.
Police will allege the man refused to leave the address and grabbed a 33-year-old woman and forced her to the ground. He then grabbed her throat and threatened her with a knife.
A 28-year-old woman tried to help but was allegedly hit in the face and pushed by the man.
He later fled the area in a white ute.
Following an extensive investigation, police established a perimeter around a Blacktown townhouse complex on Saturday night. He was arrested when he allegedly tried to access a nearby stolen car.
He has been charged with nine offences in total, including intentionally choke without consent and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
He has been refused bail and will appear before Picton Local Court next Tuesday.
