The future home of the region’s largest cinema screen has been given the green light, with a unique $23 million four-storey entertainment complex approved for Gregory Hills.
The one-stop shop for entertainment, to be operated by United Cinemas, will feature nine cinema screens, three drive-through restaurants, three indoor recreation areas and a food court.
United Cinemas chairman Roy Mustaca exclusively told the Macarthur Chronicle the complex would deliver an experience like no other.
“It will be a one-stop shop for entertainment,” he said.
“It is going to be very very special. We want to create an experience for our cinema goers, packed with entertainment options.”
The complex, which was approved by the Sydney Western City Planning Panel last month, will include United Cinema’s signature two tier seating design and the latest in digital screen and sound technology.
Mr Mustaca said he hopes works would begin on the site as soon as possible, with the project expected to take about 18 months.
