A neighbour locked himself in his home after he was attacked by one of his neighbours just moments after another yelled “do you want problems”.

Fred Sade and Ramez Chengherli fronted court on Friday and pleaded guilty to their roles in a dispute with a neighbour at Narellan in November 2021.

Sade, 42, admitted to stalk or intimidate intending to cause fear of physical harm, while Chengherli, 41, pleaded guilty to reckless wounding.

Documents tendered to court revealed the victim had been living in a granny flat on Richardson Rd, Narellan for two years.

Working as a labourer, he tended to park his ute on the street near the flat as he had valuables in the tray.

When brothers Sade and Chengherli moved into the main house in front of the granny flat, they brought four company vehicles with them.

In early November 2021, the victim could not find a parking spot on Richardson Rd, so parked across the driveway thinking he would be leaving early enough to unblock the cars.

The next day he saw Sade and apologised for what happened. On November 6, the victim was again unable to find a parking spot so had to park further away from his house.

The following day, he saw his usual spot out the front of the granny flat was free so moved his ute.

About 8pm that night, the victim was watching TV when he was interrupted by four loud bangs on his front door.

The victim opened it and was confronted by Sade who started aggressively shouting at him, and said, “do you want problems?”.

The victim was terrified as Sade continued to yell and shout when he heard a noise like broken glass but could not see anything.

Moments later, Chengherli appeared from behind the fence with his arm wrapped in a tea towel and he swung his arm into the victim’s face.

The victim began bleeding profusely from a 4cm laceration to his face.

Sade held his brother back after he tried to strike again, and the victim retreated into his home and called the police.

At Picton Local Court on Friday, Kirsten West from the Director of Public Prosecution’s office said due to the guilty pleas, other offences would be withdrawn.

Both men will be sentenced on February 10, 2022.
