Camden Porsche driver allegedly caught speeding, with fake plates and positive for meth

A 49-year-old Porsche driver was allegedly caught speeding and driving under the influence of drugs in Sydney’s southwest.

A Porsche driver was allegedly caught speeding in an unregistered car with false plates, while under the influence of drugs in Sydney’s southwest.

The Elderslie man, aged 49, was arrested after a late-night police blitz on the Camden Bypass.

Police will allege he clocked 102km/h in an 80km/h zone just before midnight on Thursday.

Upon inspection, highway patrol police allegedly discovered the vehicle’s registration had expired over a month ago, and the plates did not match the car.

Police said the driver tested positive for methamphetamine in an oral fluid drug test.

The driver was issued multiple infringement notices for speeding, driving an unregistered and uninsured vehicle, and displaying unauthorised plates.

Police started that further disciplinary action was anticipated once analysis of the man’s oral fluid sample was completed.
