A man impersonating a police officer hounded Spring Farm residents overnight, with Camden Police Area Command investigating a number of reports in the area.
Police allege a man approached a Spring Farm address at about 9.30pm on Tuesday, who indicated he was an off-duty officer conducting a check of stolen goods.
The occupant of the house, a 48-year-old man, asked the individual to produce police identification.
The man failed to do so and then left the property.

The ‘undercover policeman’ asked the driver for his licence who indicated he had left it at his home.
The ‘policeman’ then followed the young man to a Spring Farm address, rummaged through the his backpack and stole a Go Pro device before leaving the scene.
The man was described as being in his mid 50s, shaved red hair, dressed in army clothing and was carrying a heavy duty flashlight.
He was driving a Toyota Hilux ute with a dual toolbox tray.
Camden Police believe the same man is responsible for both incidents.
