Camden Cats player Jamie Brown mourned after tragic pedestrian accident
A Sydney sporting community is in mourning after the sudden loss of 21-year-old Jamie Brown, who tragically lost his life in a pedestrian accident.

The sudden death of a fun-loving 21-year-old man in a tragic pedestrian accident in Cobbitty on Thursday has left his football club, friends and family in mourning.
Jamie Brown was struck by a ute on Cobbitty Rd, Cobbitty about Thursday lunchtime and was flown to Liverpool Hospital with serious head and leg injuries.
The young member of the Camden Cats Senior AFL club died in hospital on Saturday.
In a social media post, his football club paid tribute to the well-liked teammate.
“Jamie was a great guy, fun-loving, adventurous and keen to give anything a go; whether it was backpacking around Australia or more recently up on the ski slopes of Perisher,” the post said.
“He was well liked around the footy club and was a great teammate during his five seasons with the Camden Cats. He will be greatly missed.
“Our condolences go out to Jamie’s entire family during this difficult time.”
The 41-year-old driver of the ute has been interviewed by police and provided mandatory blood and urine tests.
Police inquiries are continuing and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
