A man has been identified as the victim of a fatal crash on the Hume Motorway in Sydney’s southwest.
Alexander Josevski was reportedly hit by a car on Sunday, March 10 on the M5 near Woodbine by the Skye Winter pedestrian bridge.
Emergency services attended the crash site on the motorway at 7.20am, with paramedics treating Mr Josevski, who later died at the scene.
A 48-year-old woman driving the car was uninjured in the crash, but was taken to Campbelltown Hospital for mandatory testing after the incident.
Mr Josevski was a long-term employee at Woolworths Eagle Vale and was described as a “hardworking and dedicated” person.
“He was a kind and caring person, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need,” his sister Adriana Josevski said in a tribute on GoFundMe.
She said the tragic incident had left a ‘void’ in the lives of his family.
Ms Josevski is appealing to the public for assistance with paying for Alexander’s funeral services through a GoFundMe page.
“As we mourn the loss of our dear Alexander, we are faced with the overwhelming burden of arranging a funeral for him,” she said.
“We are a close-knit family and unfortunately, do not have the financial means to cover the expenses of his funeral.”
