A BRAVE mum and dad swan and their four cygnets patiently waited until the traffic lights turned red before they crossed one of the busiest roads in the Macarthur area during peak hour.

A BRAVE family of swans patiently waited until the traffic lights turned red before they safely crossed busy Narellan Rd, near Campbelltown.
Resident Annette Stone was stuck in traffic at the lights when she snapped the photo yesterday morning.
Ms Stone and the other drivers waited patiently before the family of swans safely crossed the busy stretch of road.
The photo shows what appears to be mum and dad swans and their four cygnets crossing the busy road near the Western Sydney University Campbelltown campus to possibly make their way to the pond on the opposite side of the road.

The brave swans crossed four lanes of traffic during their mission and it is understood they safely made it to the other side before the lights turned green and vehicles then continued on their morning peak-hour journey on Narellan Rd.
