The under-11 North Epping Rangers have had a phenomenal 2017.

The side recently completed an undefeated season in division one of the Eastwood Ryde Netball Association with a 35-30 grand final win over the North Ryde Spirits.

A very impressive achievement to be sure.

But what’s more impressive than one undefeated season? Two undefeated seasons in two years.

Leading the girls throughout their epic undefeated run is two young coaches, Grace Michie and Emma Hancock, who are mentored by Jan Hancock. “What impresses me is that they’re just a group of really lovely girls that love their netball,” Ms Hancock said.

They have been nominated for NewsLocal’s Junior Sports Star-Team award

“If we ever have to cancel a training session due to the rain, they will always send me sad emojis. The girls are also supported by a great group of parents.

“They’re just super keen and really enthusiastic, as well as being very talented.”

The under 11 North Epping Rangers have been nominated for NewsLocal’s Junior Sports Star-Team award as part of the Local Sports Stars competition.
