She is a top netballer, softballer and baseballer, and because of that Tallulah Lewis has learned to be a great juggler.
The schoolgirl is the Manly Daily’s latest Junior Sports Star nominee in the 2019 Local Sports Stars awards.
She is also one of the busiest athletes as she juggles three different sports across the city, state and country.
This year alone she played in the Australian under 15s school girls netball titles, the state netball championships, a softball International Friendship Series in Brisbane, another in Perth, the state under 16s softball championships, the Australian under 16s baseball championship and represented the Sydney North School region for NSW Open CHS netball and NSW Open CHS softball.
“I get tired but I don’t get tired of it (playing sport),’’ Lewis said, who is a short stop and centre fielder in softball and a defender in netball.
“And I don’t get sick of it because I do the three different sports. I like the variety.
“When I’m in season I have training every night.’’

I’d love to do what Ellyse Perry does — be a multi sport person and play for Australia in two sports
Her heavy schedule means Lewis, of Avalon, sometimes has to miss one sport to do another.
“That’s when I do some skills work in-between to make it up,’’ the Mackellar Girls student said.
Lewis said her ultimate goal was to study at a US college while playing softball.
“I’d love to play at the Olympics eventually, to play for Australia,’’ she said.
“And I’d love to do what Ellyse Perry does — be a multi sport person and play for Australia in two sports.’’
The 2019 Local Sports Stars awards nominations close August 31.
