IT’S fair to say Laura Nolan is passionate about Aussie rules.
If there is a game on in southeast Sydney, chances are she’s playing in it.
The Maroubra Saints star has played in boys’ teams, girls’ teams, under 12s and under 15s.
As such she has already reached the 100 game milestone despite having turned 13 just last month. By comparison most her age have played no more than 15 games.
“She plays at least two games on the weekend, sometimes three and often umpires several games also,” her coach Camille Owen said. “She is amazingly dedicated and passionate. As a club we are very proud.”
Last month she was named in the inaugural Sydney Swans Academy Youth Girls program.
She has been nominated in the Young Sporting Spirit category of our Local Sports Stars awards. There are four other categories recognising outstanding individuals, teams and volunteers.
