St Clair Comets secretary Bill Borg nominated for Local Sports Stars competition
After 30 years at the St Clair Comets, Bill Borg is as synonymous with the club as the mini field named after him.

Few people mean as much to their local club as Bill Borg means to the St Clair Comets JRLC.
The 67-year-old from Erskine Park has served as club secretary for 30 years.
On game days, Borg is always the first one there and the last to leave as he makes sure that every player, parent and supporter is looked after.
His passion and commitment to the club has even seen St Clair name a mini field after him.
“It’s really rewarding, there’s a lot of really good people there,” Borg said.
“I didn’t know anybody when I first came to the club but I’ve since built a really good mateship with so many people. I really enjoy what I’m doing and seeing all the kids come from under- 6s all the way through to A-Grade and even the NRL. It’s been a really good journey so far.”
Bill is a Penrith Press Service to Sport nominee for the 2019 Local Sports Stars competition.
It is proudly sponsored by Featherdale Wildlife Park and Bankstown Sports.
