It’s been a year to remember for touch football superstar Jordan Hill.
The 15 year old from Tennyson Point has spent 2017 leaping from one success to another
in the sport he loves.
His string of recent achievements began in February when he played an integral part in the
Wests Magpies under 16 side claiming the Junior State Cup.
He was then selected for the Sydney METS team for the National Touch League, where he again left an impression on selectors to make the Sydney METS under 16 squad for the NSWTA Junior Regionals.
Jordan starred throughout the tournament, ultimately guiding the team to victory in the elite competition.
The next notch for his belt will be state representation, when he takes part in the National Youth Championships in September as part of the NSW Combined Catholic Colleges Opens Touch Team.
With his most recent achievement selection for the Wests Magpies Men’s Premier League team, Jordan’s talents exceed even his own young age.
According to Jordan’s mother Stacey, it’s his sportsmanship that truly sets him apart.
“Jordan is very fair, extremely honest and is always a good sport both on and off the field,” she said.
“He is always commended on his positive attitude and being fair.”
Jordan has been nominated for NewsLocal’s Junior Sports Star Individual award.
The Local Sports Stars program is searching for outstanding athletes aged under 18, as well as those that love and contribute to making sport a great experience for everyone.
