Talented gymnast Georgia Fragiadakis is going from strength to strength in the country’s most challenging competitions.

Earlier this year Georgia, 14, competed in the NSW State Championships alongside her friends at Sydney West Gymsports in Fairfield West.

The Local Sports Star nominee came fifth in vault, first in bars, fifth in floor and fifth all-around in the Junior International 15 division.

Georgia confirmed she was a force to be reckoned with when she took home a swag of medals at the 2017 Australian Championships in Melbourne last month.

The teen came second in the Junior 15 all-around and bars divisions.

She also came third in beam and floor.

Georgia Fragiadakis is going from strength to strength in Australian gymnastics.

Sydney West Gymsports owner Belinda Vine said gymnastics was extremely challenging at an elite level.

“The girls are talented but that’s not enough, especially if you want to represent your state and your country,” Vine said. “This group all possess the talent and passions for the sport but the level of commitment to training and mental toughness to push on when faced with setbacks is a culture we have created here at Sydney West Gymsports.”

The Australian Gymnastic Championships featured more than 1400 athletes competing in 6000 routines across 12 days of competition.
