Two-hundred and fifty three points for and only 20 points against.

That was the result of the Eastwood U14s NSW Junior Rugby Union State Championships campaign as they demolished their competition to secure the state title.

The win marks back-to-back state championships for Eastwood after also winning the tournament in 2016.

No team could stand up to Eastwood’s pure dominance, with their victory margins ranging from 21 to 71 points.

“It was an exceptional weekend,” said manager Dion Ngatai.

“You never go into a competition like this thinking it’s going to be an easy run but our boys prepared really well.”

Mr Ngatai said the victory was thanks to a genuine team contribution.

“Our run-on 15 was exceptional.

“Each of the players were really solid in their individual positions and 11 were selected for the Sydney Juniors rep team.

“All 15 of them worked so well together across the entire weekend.”

The Eastwood U14s have been nominated for NewsLocal’s Junior Sports Star- Team award.

The Local Sports Stars program is searching for outstanding athletes aged under 18, as well as those that love and contribute to making sport a great experience for everyone.

The program has five categories: Junior Sports Star Individual, Junior Sports Star Team, Young Sporting Spirit Individual, Young Sporting Spirit Team and Service to Sport.
