Serving pan-Asian dishes, coffee and cocktails, the owners behind a new Vietnamese eatery at Leppington are hoping to create an escape for southwest Sydney residents in their own back yard.

Joining a number of new dining venues that have set up shop at Liverpool is 14 North 108 East, located on Emerald Hills Blvd.

With its open-plan kitchen and a stunning floor-to-ceiling graffiti mural by Sydney artist Sophi Odling, the owners are determined to set it apart from others.

The restaurant has an open-plan kitchen, breakfast bar and cocktail bar.

The eatery offers all-day dining and three different spaces in which to enjoy your drinks and tucker, including a cafe and breakfast bar, the main dining hub and a cocktail bar.

Venue manager Alex Zucchi said the restaurant reflected a blend of cultures, passion and experiences.

“Most of the owners are of Vietnamese heritage, so that is a massive part of their lives and comes through in the cuisines and decor,” he said.

“We (are) all passionate about coffee and wanted it to be a cornerstone of what we do.

“We also wanted to create a dining experience that reflected what we would wanted to experience — one that offered great food, was comfortable and relaxing and delivered a dining experience that was truly unique.”

With its name a reference to the co-ordinates for the Vietnamese city of Pleiku, where one of the owners has family ties, Zucchi says the menu features Vietnamese dishes with a “slightly” modern twist — “fusion, some might say”.

“I think our point of difference is very clear — especially on our breakfast menu — who is doing Vietnamese breakfast that caters to a Western palette?” he said.

Dishes include Vietnamese pancakes (banh xeo), son-in-law eggs with XO sauce, enoki beef skewers, salmon and papaya salad, as well as breakfast classics.
