A 22-year-old man will face court after he allegedly blocked an intersection in Hammondville while performing burnouts.
Officers from the Joint Traffic Task Force were conducting stationary speed enforcement on Heathcote Rd about 7.50pm on Saturday when they saw a Silver Lexus performing burnouts at the intersection of Heathcote and Walder roads.
The driver allegedly completed five doughnuts over a period of time, forcing other motorists to stop at the intersection.
Police stopped the car on nearby Stewart Ave and spoke to the male driver.
Checks revealed he did not hold an active licence and the car’s rear tyres were dangerously worn with exposed canvass and wire.
The driver was charged with drive with a refused licence (second offence), aggravated burnout and drive manner dangerous. The car was issued a major defect notice.
He is due to face Liverpool Local Court on June 12.
