BLAKE Roberts died on Valentine’s Day last year of leukaemia.
Wattle Grove Public School, where the 12-year-old went to school, holds a Wear Red for Blake Day each March — it was his favourite colour.
The proceeds go straight to the Leukaemia Foundation.
They’re going one step further this year, holding a Light the Night event on Saturday, October 15.
People carry a yellow lantern to remember a loved one, white for your own journey and a blue lantern to show support.
Blake’s mum Kim was the gold ambassador at the Camden walk last year.
Now in its ninth year, the event aims to raise $2 million across more than 20 nationwide walks.
The money gives families the emotional support they need and to fund blood cancer research. Gates open at 6.30pm.
