Stevanovic, of Minto, had been missing for six days before his body was discovered. The 40-year-old was described by a long-time friend as a “great bloke” and a “beautiful soul”.

Pham, who is remanded in custody, appeared by videolink at Campbelltown Local Court where he pleaded not guilty to the single charge of murder.

Former sex worker Kate Lloyd was convicted of being an accessory after the fact to murder in May, after pleading guilty to her role in the death.

In the Downing Centre District Court, Lloyd was sentenced to five years and three months in jail with a non-parole period of three years and six months.

She will be eligible for parole in July 2022 with time already served.

Pham will be arraigned before the Supreme Court on August 7.
