A homeowner is distraught after her beloved pooch Gucci was killed and more than $60,000 of designer products were stolen in an alleged robbery.

A woman who police say had her western Sydney home broken into, more than $60,000 worth of designer bags stolen and her dog killed “just wants justice” for her family and children.

Frida Karam arrived at her Middleton Grange home on January 31 after spending a night in the city celebrating her young son’s birthday to find her house had been ransacked.

“Before I left the house was spotless because I’m a perfectionist,” she told the Macarthur Chronicle.

“I couldn’t get the garage door open and my husband had to budge the front door open with the key because it was jammed.”

Police allege three assailants wedged windows open and broke into her home between 10.30pm on January 30 and 1pm on January 31, stealing more than $60,000 in designer clothes, bags and shoes as well as laptops, iPads and even her Dyson electronics.

As part of their brazen attack Ms Karam’s beloved 11-year-old pomeranian Gucci was killed.

Ms Karam went to Liverpool Local Court on Thursday in the hopes of seeing a teenger who police allege broke into her home.

Police began investigating but it wasn’t until Wednesday that 19-year-old Mikaele Maka was arrested at a home on Hitter Ave, Mount Pritchard.

He was taken to Liverpool Police Station and charged with stealing less than $60,000 value during break and enter and aggravated animal cruelty.

Mr Maka was due to appear in court on Thursday but there was no application for the teenager’s bail and the matter was adjourned to later this month where an application for bail will be made.

“He wants to make contact with friends and family to arrange appropriate bail conditions the court may consider,” his lawyer told the court.

However, the police prosecutor told the court a fresh charge would be laid in coming days, increasing the charge of stealing property value to more than $60,000.

“I just want everyone to take it seriously,” Ms Karam said.

“But I‘m trying to get justice for my family.”

Mr Maka will appear at Liverpool Local Court on March 18.
