Some of southwest Sydney’s most popular pubs and clubs will reopen their doors for the first time in more than two months as COVID-19 restrictions continue to ease across NSW.
From next Monday, dining venues will be allowed up to 50 patrons — subject to a one person per 4sq m - but customers must be seated and practice social distancing.
Clubs with multiple dining venues can admit 50 customers at each outlet, subject to guidelines.
Bars and gaming facilities are also permitted to reopen under the relaxed rules.
Mounties group president Kevin Ingram said the western Sydney icon couldn’t be more thrilled to resume operations following 10 weeks of closure.
“Cafes, restaurants, bars, entertainment and more await members with a raft of exciting product, service and operational changes implemented for the safety and enjoyment of all,” he said.
Mounties will be open seven days a week from Monday and health and safety procedures will be in place.
Its trading hours will be 9am to 3am from Sunday to Thursday and 9am to 5am on Friday and Saturday.
Fairfield RSL patrons can also rejoice, with the club opening its doors from Monday too.
A club spokesman said it was looking forward to welcoming the community again.
Revesby Workers Club confirmed on Facebook it will also welcome back customers on Monday, with priority access for members due to social distancing requirements.
“Based on these restrictions we will be permitted to allow only a limited number of people into the club at any one time. Therefore, we will be opening our doors to members only during this stage,” the club posted.
“If you are not a member, you will be able to join on arrival.
“The club will look a little different, but we’re excited to be welcoming back our members.”
