Businessman, Instagram influencer fights serious drug charges
A muscle-clad businessman and Instagram influencer from southwest Sydney is fighting serious drug charges after allegedly supplying almost 2000 tablets and vials of prohibited drugs including steroids.

A muscle-clad businessman and Instagram influencer from southwest Sydney is fighting serious drug charges after allegedly supplying almost 2000 tablets and vials of prohibited drugs including steroids.
Marven Yacoub, 27, who resides in Liverpool, pleaded not guilty to three charges of supply a prohibited drug and one charge of possess a prohibited drug on Tuesday.
Mr Yacoub’s Instagram page boasts a huge audience of more than 50,000 followers and features numerous topless pictures of himself working out or posing.
He co-owns a cafe, Nutrition Station Bondi Junction, and also runs a fitness coaching website called MYFitness.
Police allege that on November 21 last year, the businessman and fitness coach supplied 933 vials of steroids and 970 tablets of the prescription medication Alprazolam (better known as Xanax) in Fairfield.
Police also allege he was found in possession of further steroids a few days later in Liverpool.
Mr Yacoub appeared in Waverley Local Court on Tuesday and pleaded not guilty to all four charges.
A blurb on Mr Yacoub’s MYFitness website stated he started in the fitness industry at a young age in New Zealand.
“I opened my first supplement store at the age of 19 by the age of 25 I had opened multiple stores with huge success distributing supplement brands throughout New Zealand.”
His matter has been adjourned until February 26.
