A senior constable from a specialist command in Sydney’s southwest has been charged with drug supply and dealing with property proceeds of crime as part of an alleged criminal group.

A senior constable from a specialist police command in Sydney’s southwest has been charged with drug supply after a strike force targeted an alleged cannabis dial-a-dealer syndicate.

Abdullah Kammoun, 31, of Carnes Hill, was arrested last month as part of Wetherill Park Region Enforcement Squad’s Strike Force Ince, where Kammoun and three others – two men and a woman – were arrested after raids on properties in Lurnea, Carnes Hill, Liverpool and Busby.

During the searches, police seized electronic devices, 4.6kg of cannabis, $50,000 in cash, vehicles, an electronic stun device, a ballistics vest, and clothing relevant to the investigation.

Kammoun, who has been remanded in custody since his arrest and has been suspended from the police force without pay, is charged with three counts of prohibited drug supply and dealing with the property proceeds of crime, as well as directing the activities of a criminal group.

The 31-year-old was hit with new charges when the matter was mentioned at Liverpool Local Court on Monday.

Osman Kammoun, 27, of Liverpool, is a co-accused in the matter was will have his charges – the same as Abdullah Kamound’s – mentioned on the same day next month.
