A serial flasher on the sex offenders’ registry who cut off his ankle monitoring bracelet was detained in a citizen’s arrest in Sydney’s inner west after a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Following public appeal, River Jordan, who was wanted by NSW Police Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Squad detectives, was spotted by a member of the public who recognised the 32-year-old on Upward St, Leichhardt.
Police will allege Jordan was chased across Parramatta Rd and onto Carrington St, Lewisham before being detained by the member of the public, later leading to Inner West police officers formally arresting him.
He was taken to Newtown police station where he is expected to be charged by virtue of two outstanding warrants, relating to an indecent act towards children, destroying property, contravening a prohibition order, and failing to comply with reporting obligations.
