P-plater on drink drive charge after crash at Concord, western Sydney

A rookie motorist has been charged with high-range drink driving after crashing his car in Sydney’s west overnight. See the whopping reading allegedly returned at Burwood Police Station.

A rookie motorist has been charged with high-range drink driving after crashing his car in Sydney’s west overnight.

The 20-year-old P-plater was not hurt in the single vehicle smash on Brays Rd, Concord - but when police found the driver just before 10.30pm they conducted a roadside breath test.

The P1 provisional licence holder was arrested and taken to Burwood Police Station to undergo a breath analysis test, which allegedly returned a reading of 0.157.

The Breakfast Point man was charged with drive with high-range PCA and is to appear before Burwood Local Court on January 17.

The man’s licence was suspended.
