Police search for man over Balmain East shooting
Police have released a CCTV image of a man wanted for questioning in connection to a public-place shooting in Balmain East.

Police are searching for a man in relation to a shooting in Balmain East last month.
Witnesses reported hearing gun shots in Pearson St on August 29 before a white hatchback was seen speeding off after hitting a parked car. Two men were also seen running from the scene.
Investigators recovered a white Hyundai Accent hatchback in Birchgrove the next day. It had bullet holes in the passenger side and accident damage.
Investigators have today released a CCTV image of a man, who may be connected to the shooting, seen loitering in a nearby underground car park.
The man is described as being of medium build, with short dark hair. He is shown wearing black clothing, black shoes and carrying a shoulder bag.

PEDESTRIAN HIT BY CAR
A 70-year-old woman is in a critical condition after being struck by a car in Strathfield last night.
Emergency services were called to Homebush Rd, near Burlington Road, just before 9.30pm following reports a pedestrian had been struck by a car.
The elderly woman was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in a critical condition.
The driver of the Toyota Kluger, a 43-year-old woman, was taken to hospital for mandatory testing.
Investigations into the crash continue.
