Mr Douglas, 63, was allegedly visiting his client at his Balmain East home about 3.40pm on November 28 when the incident took place.

On his first appearance before the court in December last year, a lawyer told the court Kemball was too mentally ill to give him proper legal instructions.

On that appearance, Kemball’s left arm was also heavily bandaged.
