A medal-winning Sydney bodybuilder will fight an allegation he committed an intentional sexual act upon a child aged under 10, a court has heard.
Oliver Sheldrick, 21, was charged with intentionally carrying out a sex act with or towards a child aged under 10 earlier this year.
Police will allege Sheldrick carried out a sex act – the nature of which is not disclosed in court documents – between 11.30am and 1.26pm on the day in question.
He was apprehended at 5.12pm on June 22 by officers attached to Inner West Police Area Command and taken to Burwood police station, where he was subsequently granted bail.
Sheldrick briefly appeared before Magistrate Gareth Christofi at Downing Centre Local Court on October 13, where an agent for his solicitor entered his plea of not guilty to the offence.
The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions has taken carriage of the matter, which will remain in the local court and be dealt with at a hearing at the Downing Centre on April 28 next year.
Sheldrick previously worked as a fitness trainer and came second in the IFBB Bodybuilding Juniors category in early 2021.
The Haberfield man graduated from the exclusive Newington College in Stanmore in 2018.
