A cleanskin teen charged with smuggling 1000 MDMA caps into a Sydney festival inside her bra and her body and a young woman who snuck in almost 80 pills for her friends have faced court.

Ngan Vy Bui, 18, had never been on the wrong side of the law before she allegedly hid 800 pills in her bra and another 200 inserted in her body and attempted to enter Epik Festival at Sydney Olympic Park on December 14.

The Ryde woman, who is a permanent resident and was applying for her citizenship, now faces a potential life sentence behind bars for commercial prohibited drug supply.

She was also charged with prohibited drug possession after police subsequently found her with 0.55g of ketamine.

The Department of Public Prosecutions will take over the case and she will return to Burwood Local Court on March 11.

The young woman was silent as she strode from court with a red hoodie covering her face.

Police documents reveal Bui works several casual jobs and resides with her boyfriend, who put up a $5000 security for her bail.

She reports to police four times a week and was required to surrender her passport in addition to observing a curfew between 11pm and 5am.

A 24-year-old woman has pleaded guilty to smuggling 79 caps of MDMA inside her body for her mates in a separate incident at the same festival.

Stacey Lea Martin, 24, pleaded guilty to prohibited drug supply after police facts revealed drug dogs “made a positive indication to the scent of prohibited drugs in the airspace around her”.

“She made admissions to concealing capsules of MDMA (internally),” police facts stated.

“The accused was arrested and conveyed to a nearby processing area where she was strip searched and during that search the accused removed a condom which appeared to contain numerous capsules of off-white powder.”

During a police interview the Rutherford woman was candid about her attempt to smuggle the drugs.

“The accused stated she was with friends prior to entering the event and had offered to take the capsules of MDMA inside her everyone and that she was to receive a few for free for doing so,” police facts stated.

“Police unwrapped the packaging and found there were two layers of condoms and two layers of plastic heat-sealed packaging in which there were two separate resealable plastic bags, one of which contained 50 capsules and the other containing 29.”

Martin, who is employed as a bartender, will be sentenced at Burwood Local Court on March 11.

Punchbowl man Majid Davis, 25, also pleaded guilty to smuggling 269 MDMA caps inside a condom hidden in his underwear into Epik.

He will return to court in February where the Department of Public Prosecutions will take carriage of his sentence proceedings.
