Car flips onto its roof on Frederick St, Ashfield

THIS driver had a very lucky escape when his car flipped onto its roof on Frederick St, Ashfield today. He walked away unharmed.

A MALE driver had a very lucky escape when his car flipped on Frederick St, Ashfield, near corner of Norton St just after 1pm today.

Witnesses said it appeared to go through a red light and hit the bonnet of a car emerging from a side street then flip over.

The mature-age driver escaped from vehicle and appeared to be unharmed. He was treated by ambulance paramedics but not taken to hospital.

NSW Fire and Rescue and ambulance attended and cleared with road, which reopened to full traffic at 1.36pm.
