Plain-clothed Australian Federal Police officers have finished raiding a property in Lilyfield.
About 10 detectives were on scene in Balmain Rd conducting a search at a property.
Officers had been at the home since about 7am and have been seen collecting bags full of items, mostly takeaway coffee cups this morning.
No arrests were made.
The home was a hive of activity, with the AFP set up in the front yard of the home with equipment among a plethora of children’s toys.
One neighbour, who didn’t wish to be identified, said they had notified authorities about issues with the property in the past.
Another said they had woken to the scene of riot squad officers with guns and tasers preparing to storm the home.
The AFP declined to detail why the operation was taking place when asked.
“This matter relates to an ongoing investigation which is not a counter terrorism investigation,” an AFP spokeswoman said.
“There is no impending threat to the community. As this matter is ongoing it is not appropriate to comment further.”
