10 things you need to know about Strathfield Spring Fair

The Spring Festival is a great way to ring in the new season.
Entry is free and there will be something for the whole family to enjoy — including music, entertainment, face painting, pony rides, amusement rides, and various food and market stall.
1. Justine Clarke: Help welcome spring, the season of new beginnings, with best-selling children’s music artist and author, Justine Clarke at Strathfield Park on Saturday. Clarke will join the entertainment line-up on the main stage of the Strathfield Spring Festival at 12.55pm to perform some her favourite hit songs including “Gumtree Family”, “Watermelon” and “Song to Make You Smile”. The Rozelle mother of three said all her songs were designed to spark the imagination and connect children to the world around them.
2. Secret Garden: Take a stroll in the Secret Garden where you can lean about composting, plant seedlings or make a flower crown.
3. Animals up close: Create an experience your kids will be sure to love at the petting zoo and pony ride activity.
4. Storytime: Don’t miss out on a bespoke (see what I did there!) Spring Festival Story Time session with Strathfield’s favourite librarians.
5. Food: Feast on a number of food options from dumplings, BBQ skewered meat at Kalye, Gozleme with Turkish Gozleme Catering and traditional Spanish paella.
6. Dessert: Spoil yourself with an indulgent dessert by visiting Chillato for mouth-watering ice cream desserts and Renard’s Kitchen for delicious waffles and crepes.
7. Stalls: Swing by the merchandise stalls to buy something special for yourself or a loved one.
8. Rides: Enjoy the amusement rides with your kids for some quality family time and thrill seeking fun.
9. Drums: Grab a drum, drop a beat and have a blast at the African drumming workshop at the main stage from 2.05pm
10. Free bus: Take a break from driving with a free shuttle bus from Strathfield Station to Strathfield Park or hop on the Strathfield Connector.
