Police have made a plea for information as investigations continue into the suspected murder of a 31-year-old man at Lake Illawarra last year.
The body of Matthew Davies was found in his Thomas St home, where he lived by himself, at about 9.30pm on Monday, August 23 – only 48 hours after neighbours heard an altercation at the address.
Detectives have now released CCTV of moments before and after the homicide with the vision showing a white Holden Rodeo travelling in front of a dark-coloured sedan on Trumper St, Lake Illawarra.
The CCTV also captures three unidentified males walking south on King St, Lake Illawarra, before they turn into Thomas St.
One of the unidentified males, seen walking north, alone on King St, has been described as being of a large build, around 185cm-190cm tall, and walks with a pronounced limp.
Investigations are continuing with assistance from the State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad, and detectives are appealing to anyone who may have noticed anything suspicious in Thomas St and surrounds on the night of Monday, August 23 last year.
Anyone who recognises any of the males in the CCTV or anyone who may have CCTV, dashcam footage or information is urged to contact Lake Illawarra Police on (02) 4232 5599 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or https://nsw.crimestoppers.com.au.
