Marshall St, Dapto: Police investigate stabbing, man rushed to hospital

Police are scouring the Illawarra for an armed attacker after a man showed up at a business with a stab wound in his back.

Police are scouring the Illawarra for an armed attacker after a man showed up at a Dapto business with a stab wound in his back.

A NSW Police spokeswoman said a man had entered a business on Marshall St, Dapto about 1pm on Tuesday with a stab would to his back.

Emergency services were called to the scene with the man taken to Wollongong Hospital for treatment.

Police have set up a crime scene.

“It’s reported he doesn’t know who stabbed him,” the spokeswoman said.

The spokeswoman said police were searching for a second person in the area.
